16th Annual Holiday Outreach

16th Annual Holiday Outreach
Posted on 11/16/2016

It’s a tradition here at Curry Orthodontics to reach out during the holiday season! For more than 16 years, our team and patient families have collected books, stuffed stockings, and provided baby items for children and their families at Parkland Hospital, Children’s Medical Center, Plano Presbyterian Hospital, and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Plano. This year we are filling manna bags for the Stewpot Ministry in Dallas.

Our 2016 Drive Benefits the Stewpot Ministry in Downtown Dallas

Located in downtown Dallas, the Stewpot is an urban pioneer, responding to the unmet and emerging needs of the homeless and at-risk families of Dallas for more than 40 years. The Stewpot was established in 1975 to serve food to the homeless and hungry. Later, Stewpot programs expanded to include social services and programs for at-risk children and youth. The Stewpot has helped start new organizations to meet needs including the Austin Street Center, the Genesis Women’s Shelter, Interfaith Housing, and the Bridge. The Stewpot not only offers resources and assistance to those who need them but also serves 1000-2000 meals per day for at-risk families and the homeless.

Help Us Help At-Risk Families Today!

Join us as we provide manna bags for the Stewpot Ministry. Pick up your manna bags at the office with a list of possible snack items to put in them. Things like canned tuna or chicken (zip top), bags of peanuts or sunflower seeds, packages of crackers, small cans of zip top fruit or fruit cups, granola or cereal bars, wrapped packages of cookies, plastic utensils, and napkins are suggested items to fill the bags. We will be delivering these on Wednesday, December 21st to the Stewpot in downtown Dallas so please turn in your manna bag by Tuesday, December 20th.

If you would like more information about the Stewpot Ministry or how to get involved, please contact us today. On behalf of all of us at Curry Orthodontics, thank you for making our community a better place!
